All Sides leak

I know you all are dying to hear O.A.R.'s newest CD. You can click here and listen to it on VH1's The Leak. It sounds like another great CD. Can't wait to get to download it from iTunes on July 15th, 5 more days!!! I was going to give a suggestion to what song you should check out but I can't decide which is the best, b/c they are ALL fabulous!

33:59

So according to the race results that was my time for the 5k last Friday. So much better than I thought, maybe it is a clerical error, but hey I will run with it. (tee hee!) So that means I ran an average of 10:58/mile. Not too shabby for my first race. I came in 1475th place out of 2164.

Here is a picture of me after the race. I am delighted I am still on my feet :)

Summer Memories

So this past holiday weekend one of my other double cousins, Tami's sister, came to visit with her family. Adorable doesn't even begin to describe her kiddos. They each have a very unique and endearing personality & you fall in love with them immediately.

This is McKenzie (or just Kenzie). I can't believe how much of a little lady she is. Always so polite and just wanting to hang out and to help in anyway she can. I really enjoyed getting to know her better.
At Disney waiting patiently in line

Skid boarding at the beach

Then there is Pierce, what a character. Always picking on someone just because. He loves anything that is creepy, crawly & slimy! I could not believe all the facts about animals that is in his head. He is one smart cookie and can hold his own, which is good because he has 2 sisters to put him back in line when he gets out.

Climbing on everythingHe loves animals!

And lastly Sydney. This girl can make anyone smile. She is always singing something and has a way of keeping herself entertained as well as everyone around her. She has a ton of funny faces and will do just about anything if you ask. Favorite memories from this weekend, when she was cold at the beach and rolled in the sand to get warm and of course her singing the Applebottom jeans song.
Put her dad's cell phone number on her just in case she got separated from the group at Disneyland.

Funny faces!

Happy Anniversary!

With all the craziness of Monday's trip to Disneyland, don't worry I will post pictures eventually, I did not have time to post a very special message so here it is:

HAPPY 36TH ANNIVERSARY
MOM & DAD!

Monday was their anniversary, last year they surprised me in Memphis for their 35th on 07.07.07. I hope they had as much fun this year as they did last. You two have been so supportive over the years and it amazes me how much love you have to give each of your children, even with the bone-headed things we do. Thank you for always encouraging me to follow my dreams and to never give up even when it seemed like it would be so easy to quit. I hope that one day I can find someone to love and to be loved by as much as you two do. I love you!

Hike in Rancho Palos Verdes

Just a mere 10 miles down the coast is a beautiful little town called Rancho Palos Verdes. There are unbelievable views into the ocean. We went a a little hike down the coast.

On our way we saw the cliffs off the coast.

Lots of surfers trying to ride the perfect wave.

Finding sea shells by the sea shore :)

If you listen closely you can hear the waves cause a rain stick affect. Also in the background is Syndey, she is such a cutie!

Steph, Tami & me on our way back up. We were a bit tired at this point but ready for some Jamba Juice!

Great food, the most amazing wine (and most expensive I have had to date) & great fun. More to tell with beach time, family & 5k race results... Stay tuned!

SLO weekend

Over the past weekend I traveled up the coast to see my adorable baby niece, Celine. Of course I saw Josh & Christiane too :) The drive up the 101 was amazing. Such a different coast line than Hermosa Beach, much more dramatic with the cliffs. I was not able to take pictures because driving 65-75 mph & trying to snap a photo isn't necessarily safe.

We had a great time. Dinner on the patio Saturday night. Strangely it was so cool I had to wear a sweatshirt. Then we just sat around and talked until bedtime. It was nice to get to catch up on everything that was going on.
Sunday we got up leisurely & then went downtown, had some lunch & just walked around.

It is such an adorable city, SLO, with so much history. We drove by where Josh & Christiane work. Miss Celine drank all her bottles so we had to make a pit stop at home to pick up some more goods. Afterwards we went down to a barn that sold produce & ice cream & they even had a petting zoo. We stopped by Avila beach on our way home. It was a perfect weekend, catching up with family, good food & beautiful weather.

Videos of Celine

This one is my favorites, we are in the garden area of the San Luis Obispo Mission garden - she is such a MOTORMOUTH!
